June Chef's Specials at Calcutta Club Nottingham

This June, our chefs have created a selection of seasonal specials celebrating the vibrant flavours of Indian cuisine. From iconic street food to slow-cooked regional favourites, these dishes are available throughout June at Calcutta Club Nottingham, located in the heart of Nottingham city centre.

This Month's Specials

Pani Puri – Crispy puris filled with seasoned potatoes and chickpeas, served with a sweet, spicy and tangy flavoured water. One of India's most loved street food dishes.

Baroodi Murgh – Lightly battered chicken coated in a honey, chilli and mayonnaise chutney for a bold burst of flavour.

Chicken Varuval – A South Indian speciality featuring chicken simmered in an aromatic masala of roasted spices, curry leaves, fennel, coconut and black pepper.

Rampuri Gosht – Tender lamb shank slow-cooked in a rich Rampuri masala sauce with coconut, lotus seeds, nutmeg, rose water and yellow chilli.

A Taste of India's Streets: Pani Puri

This month's highlight is Pani Puri, one of India's most loved street food dishes.

Found everywhere from bustling city markets to neighbourhood food stalls, Pani Puri is famous for delivering an explosion of flavour in a single bite. The combination of crisp puri shells, spiced potatoes, chickpeas and tangy flavoured water creates the perfect balance of crunch, spice and freshness.

It's a dish that captures the energy, colour and spirit of everyday life in India – and one we're delighted to bring to Nottingham this June.
