Mother’s day At the Calcutta Club

Mother’s Day is a day to show your love and appreciation for the special woman who brought you into this world. It is a day to make her feel special, loved and appreciated. And what better way to do that than by treating her to her favourite Indian restaurant? This year we had a full house at the Calcutta!

The Calcutta Club in Nottingham opened on Mother’s Day this year, and it was the perfect opportunity to take your mother out for a delicious meal that she will remember for years to come. At the Calcutta Club, we pride ourselves on serving authentic Indian cuisine made with the freshest ingredients. Our dishes are bursting with flavour, and we have something for everyone, from mild to spicy.

We were excited to announce that we will were opening on Mother’s Day this year, as we don’t usually open on Sundays. We believe that this occasion is so special that it deserves to be celebrated in style. Unfortunately, we were not able to offer our usual early bird offer before 6:30 pm due to the limited capacity at the restaurant. However, we promised that our food will be just as delicious as ever, and our service will be exceptional.

We anticipated that our Mother’s Day opening will be very popular, so we recommended making a reservation to secure your spot. We were correct and ended up with a full house on the day!

In addition to our regular menu, we are excited to announce that for the month of March, we will be offering some brand new chef specials that are sure to tantalise your taste buds. One dish that we are particularly excited about is the Achari Jinga. This dish features succulent King prawns that have been marinated in a panch puran achari masala, along with fresh ginger, garlic, and mango pickle. The prawns are then served with a homemade mango pickle yoghurt, which adds a cool and creamy contrast to the spicy prawns. This dish is a true flavour explosion and is not to be missed. So, if you are looking to try something new and exciting, make sure you order the Achari Jinga during your visit to the Calcutta Club in March.

If you didn't manage to celebrate mother's day this year at the Calcutta, we will see you next year!
